Springs Public Schools Empower Academy Seeks Vended Meal Service Provider

Empower Academy, a proud member of Springs Public Schools Tennessee, is seeking bids for a School Food Authority (SFA) contract to provide vended meal services for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year. This solicitation aims to enhance our School Breakfast Program, National School Lunch Program, and Seamless Summer Option.

Virtual Pre-Bid Meeting Scheduled

A virtual pre-bid meeting will be held on June 13, 2024, at 9:30 AM CST. Prospective vendors are encouraged to attend this meeting for a comprehensive overview of the bid requirements and to ask any clarifying questions. Join the meeting via the following link: Microsoft Teams Meeting.

Bid Submission Details

All proposals must be submitted electronically to Erin Bowman (erin.bowman@springsPSTN.org) and Jenna Foster (jenna@sfwgroup.org) no later than 12:00 PM CST on Thursday, June 27, 2024. For any questions regarding the bid, please submit them in writing to the aforementioned email addresses by Monday, June 17, 2024. Answers will be distributed to all respondents by end of day on Wednesday, June 19, 2024.

Scope of Services

The vendor will be responsible for providing high-quality, nutritious meals across various school sites, ensuring compliance with USDA regulations and Tennessee School Nutrition Program guidelines. The contract will encompass approximately 180 days of meal service during the school year, with the potential to include USDA Commodities and/or Department of Defense (DoD) programs in future years.
